Etymology:
dubia = doubtful
Trade name: Tulip orchid

Origin: Colombia
Habitat:
terrestrial, rarely epiphytic, at elevations of 1200–1800 m
Notes:
Anguloa dubia usually produces one, rarely two, large, terminal, pleasantly scented solitary flowers per pseudobulb. They have a waxy texture and last a long time. The scent is said to resemble that of wintergreen (Pyrola in English, Gaultheria in American English).

Culture: Intermediate temperatures of about 14–25 °C, bright to partially shaded conditions, and good air movement. Grow in fine to medium-grade bark, keep evenly moist while growing, and provide somewhat drier conditions after the growth has finished.
