villenaorum = The species is named in honor of Janette Karol Villena Bendez and her husband Bruno Villena, the owners of Orchideas Amazonicas in Moyabamba Peru, who first cultivated this species in Moyobama.

Origin: Peru
Location: Anthurium villenaorum was found in the region around Moyobamba, between the Pacific and Eastern Andes, at an altitude of about 800-1000m. The region has a subtropical climate with a heavy rainy season from December to March.
Remarks: Anthurium villenaorum has a clearly contrasting color veining in the dark green, velvety leaves, which gives it a very striking and attractive appearance. It appears to be very vigorous and is sure to be an asset to any Aroid collection.
