This new hybrid is a combination of the compact Anthurium forgetii with the impressive, much larger Anthurium magnificum. Characteristics of both parents are adopted, but the plants are somewhat different. The round leaf typical of Anthurium forgetii remains in some plants, while others are clearly notched like Anthurium magnificum. The strongly angular stem of the latter species has been passed on to almost all offspring.
The difference between Anthurium forgetii x magnificum will only be visible in larger plants. According to the experience available so far, the influence of the mother plant becomes stronger with increasing age.
