Description

Rhyncholaeliocattleya Guillermo Lasso

Name: Rhyncholaeliocattleya Guillermo Lasso

Parents: Cattleya intermedia × Rhyncholaeliocattleya Mishima Choice

Location/growing conditions: Grow in bright to very bright light, with good air circulation and in coarse, fast-draining bark. Water thoroughly during growth and only water again when the growing medium is almost dry. Temperatures of around 17–28 °C and a slight drop at night are favorable; reduce watering and fertilizing in winter when growth slows.

Description and notes: The hybrid combines the elegant growth and often good flowering habit of Cattleya intermedia with the large-flowered display of Rhyncholaeliocattleya Mishima Choice. The flowers may vary in shape, ground color, and lip markings. Vigorous, well-lit new growth provides the best foundation for regular flower spikes.
