Name: Phragmipedium Lovely Lynne
Etymology:
Lovely Lynne is the registered grex name of this orchid hybrid.
First description:
Phragmipedium Lovely Lynne was registered in 2020 by M. Tibbs. The cross was produced from Phragmipedium Fritz Schomburg × Phragmipedium Peruflora’s Cirila Alca.
Origin / Distribution:
It is a cultivated hybrid and therefore has no natural range.
Location / Habitat:
The hybrid combines genetic material from Phragmipedium kovachii, Phragmipedium besseae, and Phragmipedium besseae var. dalessandroi. We therefore orient its cultivation toward the moist conditions typical of these South American species.
Description & Notes:
Phragmipedium Lovely Lynne produces vigorous plants with long, narrow leaves and upright flower spikes. The flowers can appear intensely red, purplish-red, to reddish-purple and possess a large, characteristic slipper-shaped lip. On well-developed plants, the flowers reach approximately 10–11 cm in width.

We cultivate the hybrid at cool to moderate temperatures, with high humidity and a consistently slightly moist root zone. Bright, filtered light and good air circulation promote vigorous growth.
