Description

Phragmipedium La Ponterrin

Name: Phragmipedium La Ponterrin

Parents: Phragmipedium Memoria Dick Clements × Phragmipedium kovachii

Location/Growing conditions: We grow Phragmipedium La Ponterrin under intermediate conditions at around 16–25 °C, with bright, filtered light, high humidity, and good air movement. We keep the airy, moisture-retentive potting mix evenly moist.

Description and notes: This cross combines strong red to pink lines with the large-flowered influence of Phragmipedium kovachii. It can produce broad, substantial blooms in intense shades of pink, red, and purple. Color and shape vary among seedlings.
