Name: Phragmipedium Ecuagenera Flame
Parents: Phragmipedium Fritz Schomburg × Phragmipedium Yelva Myhre
Registration: Registered by Ecuagenera with the Royal Horticultural Society on June 11, 2024; Ecuagenera is also listed as the breeder.
Location/Cultivation Conditions: The parentage combines robust, intensely colored hybrids. We cultivate the plants at intermediate temperatures of approximately 15–25 °C, in bright, filtered light, with high humidity and good air circulation. The airy, moisture-retaining substrate is kept evenly moist; a pronounced dry rest is not required.
Description and Notes: Phragmipedium Ecuagenera Flame is a modern lady's slipper hybrid with robust rosette growth and strikingly colored flowers in warm pink, red to purple tones. Shape, markings, and color intensity may vary among seedlings. We use low-calcium water and avoid both standing water in the heart and prolonged drying out of the root mass.
