Name: Philodendron sharoniae ‘Mosquera’

Etymology: sharoniae honors Sharon Christoph Davidson. ‘Mosquera’ refers to this selected cultivar.

Origin/Distribution: The species is known from Colombia and Ecuador.

Location/Cultivation Conditions: We grow ‘Mosquera’ in warm to intermediate conditions at approximately 19–28 °C, with high humidity and bright, indirect light. We keep the coarse, airy aroid substrate evenly lightly moist.

Description and Notes: Philodendron sharoniae is a climbing philodendron with strikingly long, narrow, and characteristically shaped leaves. The ‘Mosquera’ selection particularly clearly displays the elegant leaf character. A sturdy support promotes larger leaves and natural growth.
