Name: Philodendron Pink Princess ‘Marble’
Etymology: The genus name Philodendron literally means “tree-loving” and refers to the plant’s frequently climbing growth habit. ‘Pink Princess Marble’ refers to the striking pink to cream variegation.
Location/Growing Conditions: We grow the plant in warm conditions at around 20–28°C, with high humidity and bright, indirect light. A coarse, airy aroid potting mix and a climbing support promote vigorous growth. We keep the potting mix slightly moist but never constantly wet.
Description and Notes: This selection is distinguished by irregular pink, cream, and green leaf markings. The variegation may vary from leaf to leaf. Sufficiently bright, diffused light supports compact growth and attractive markings; we avoid intense direct midday sun.
