Description

Philodendron distantilobum

Name: Philodendron distantilobum K.Krause

Etymology: The epithet distantilobum refers to the widely separated leaf lobes.

First description: The species was described in 1913 by Kurt Krause.

Origin / Habitat: Peru to Bolivia and northern Brazil, in moist tropical forests. It grows as a climber.

Description & Care: Climbing Philodendron with deeply lobed, elongated leaves. We grow it in bright to partial shade, warm to intermediate conditions, with high humidity and good air circulation. We keep the substrate evenly moist and avoid waterlogging. We keep it at around 18–28 °C.
