Description

Philodendron corrugatum

Name: Philodendron corrugatum

Origin/Distribution: Ecuador and Colombia.

Location/Habitat: In moist Andean and cloud forests. Bright, filtered light, high humidity, and good air circulation; grow as an intermediate plant at around 16–25 °C and protect from intense summer heat.

Description and Notes: A striking ornamental plant with dark green, velvety-looking, and heavily transversely ribbed leaves. The undersides of the leaves can appear burgundy to copper-colored. Use a coarse, airy, and moisture-retaining aroid substrate, keep evenly lightly moist, and avoid waterlogging.
