Description

Philodendron (plowmanii x pastazanum)

Name: Philodendron (Philodendron plowmanii × Philodendron pastazanum)

Parents: Philodendron plowmanii × Philodendron pastazanum

Location/Growing conditions: We grow this hybrid in warm to intermediate conditions at around 19–28 °C, with high humidity and bright, indirect light. We keep the coarse, airy aroid mix evenly and lightly moist.

Description and notes: This cross combines the large, textured leaves and distinctive petioles of Philodendron plowmanii with the vigorous, creeping growth and broad leaves of Philodendron pastazanum. Seedlings can vary considerably in leaf texture, shape, and patterning. A wide planter provides ample room for the creeping rhizome.
