Name: Phalaenopsis Surprise
Parents: Unknown
Breeder: Hobby cross
RHS Registration: Not registered
Notes:
This variety comes from a seed capsule produced by large-flowered parent plants. One of the parent plants flowers in white with a red lip – this is confirmed. The other remains unknown, unfortunately.
An exciting experiment for enthusiasts who enjoy being surprised!
In vitro culture: You will receive a bottle containing 4 young plants. The plants are usually already large enough to be deflasked. After opening, carefully remove the nutrient medium completely from the roots using lukewarm water and plant the young plants in fine, airy bark with some sphagnum moss. During the first few weeks, we recommend high humidity, warm temperatures, bright but protected light, and gentle air circulation. Keep the substrate evenly and lightly moist, but do not soak it; once the plants are well established, light and drying can be gradually increased.
