Name: Paphiopedilum Gert Cramer × Paphiopedilum Bel Royal
Origin / Distribution: A horticultural hybrid with no natural distribution.
Location / Habitat: Due to its multifloral ancestry, this hybrid prefers bright, warm to intermediate conditions with high humidity and good air circulation.
Description & Notes: This hybrid combines Paphiopedilum Gert Cramer with the well-known multifloral Paphiopedilum Bel Royal. Bel Royal originated from Paphiopedilum rothschildianum × Paphiopedilum kolopakingii and brings vigorous growth, long leaves, and the ability to produce multifloral inflorescences. We expect this hybrid to produce large, striking flowers on strong, upright inflorescences. We cultivate it in intermediate to warm conditions, in bright, filtered light and high humidity. We keep the substrate evenly lightly moist but well-aerated, and avoid allowing it to dry out completely for extended periods.
