Orchi-Mix fine

Product information "Orchi-Mix fine NEW"

is our new orchid potting mix specially developed for young plants and can be used for most orchid species and hybrids. Many terrestrial orchids and humusepiphytes can also be successfully cultivated in Orchi-Mix fine.
It consists of 5–15 mm pine bark. Fine-chopped sphagnum moss has been replaced by coarser bark because it is not compostable. This maintains aeration, and the potting mix is 100% compostable.
Other additives such as perlite, pumice, and vermiculite can be added, but this is not strictly necessary. The potting mix is unfertilized and adjusted to a pH of 5.5.
This potting mix was specially developed to meet the needs of young plants and all orchids in the section Pleurothallidinae, such as Masdevallia, Dracula, Pleurothallis, Porroglossum, and all related species.
Orchi-Mix fine can be stored dry in an open bag for several years, but it should be moistened before repotting. After long-term storage, the bark and moss will need some time to absorb moisture again.
