Name: Oncidium Leoville
Etymology: The genus name Oncidium derives from the Greek word for “swelling” or “bump” and refers to the callus on the lip.
Location/Growing Conditions: We recommend bright, filtered light, high humidity, and very good air movement. The medium should be fine to medium-grained, airy, and slightly moisture-retentive. Keep it evenly and lightly moist during growth. Cool to intermediate temperatures of around 14–24 °C, with a drop in temperature at night, are well suited.
Description and Notes: Oncidium Leoville is a decorative Oncidium hybrid with pseudobulbs, elongated leaves, and numerous upright to arching flower spikes. Water regularly during the active growth phase. After the new pseudobulbs have matured, watering can be reduced slightly, without allowing the plant to dry out completely for extended periods.
