Name: Monstera ‘Esqueleto’
Etymology: The Spanish word “Esqueleto” means “skeleton” and refers to the exceptionally pronounced fenestration of the leaves.
Location/Growing conditions: We recommend warm conditions of about 19–29 °C, high humidity, good air circulation, and bright, indirect light. A sturdy climbing support or moss pole encourages large, mature leaves. Keep a coarse, airy aroid mix evenly and slightly moist, allowing the surface to dry out a little between waterings.
Description and notes: Monstera ‘Esqueleto’ is a vigorous climbing plant with very large, thin leaves and numerous elongated openings, which can take up most of the leaf surface in mature plants. It is sometimes sold under different botanical classifications; for this reason, we use the established cultivar name here without an uncertain species designation. Avoid direct midday sun and cold drafts.
