Name: Monstera adansonii Schott ‘Indonesian Marble’
Etymology: The specific epithet adansonii honors the French naturalist Michel Adanson. ‘Indonesian Marble’ refers to the marbled, variegated cultivar.
Origin: The species is native to tropical America; ‘Indonesian Marble’ is a variegated cultivar selection.
Location/Growing Conditions: We grow the plant in warm conditions at approximately 20–28 °C, with high humidity and bright, indirect light. A climbing support and coarse, airy aroid substrate promote larger, more heavily fenestrated leaves.
Description and Notes: ‘Indonesian Marble’ displays variable cream-white to light green marbling on the characteristically perforated leaves of Monstera adansonii. The pattern can vary from leaf to leaf. We protect very light areas from intense direct sunlight.
