Description

Laelia purpurata var. carnea OP in vitro

Name: Laelia purpurata var. carnea OP invitro
Origin: Brazil – tropical rainforests of the southern and southeastern regions

Description:

The Laelia purpurata var. carnea OP invitro is a particularly elegant and colorful orchid that delights with its soft pink tones and exceptional flower structure. This variety of Laelia purpurata is distinguished by its delicate pink flowers, which contrast with an almost white lip. The flowers are large and symmetrical, with a beautiful, waxy texture that makes the plant a true joy both visually and in terms of care. The Laelia purpurata var. carnea OP invitro showcases the majestic beauty of the species in a particularly appealing form, which impresses with its regular blooming and vibrant coloring.

This orchid grows robustly with strong pseudobulbs and glossy leaves. The flower is not only aesthetically pleasing but also has a light, pleasant fragrance that enhances the entire environment.

Care Instructions:

The Laelia purpurata var. carnea OP invitro prefers a bright location, but without direct sunlight, to allow its colors to unfold in full splendor. It thrives best at temperatures between 18 and 28 °C and requires moderate humidity of about 50–70%. A well-draining substrate of bark, perlite, and some moss ensures the right balance between moisture retention and drainage, which promotes healthy growth. Between waterings, the substrate should dry out well to avoid waterlogging. During the growing season, it is advisable to fertilize the plant regularly to support its growth and blooming.

Special Feature:

The Laelia purpurata var. carnea OP invitro is a valuable addition to any orchid collection due to its soft colors and stable blooming. This rare orchid, grown from in vitro culture, not only offers particularly high quality and resilience but also impresses with its beauty and ease of care. This exclusive plant is only available at Ecuagenera Europe – from sustainable breeding and careful selection.

In vitro culture: You will receive a bottle with 4 young plants. The plants are usually already large enough to be potted. After opening, carefully remove the nutrient medium completely from the roots with lukewarm water and place the young plants in fine, very airy bark with some sphagnum. In the first few weeks, we recommend high humidity, warm to intermediate conditions, and bright but protected light with good air circulation. Initially keep the substrate evenly slightly moist; only after they are securely established, gradually increase the light intensity and drying out.
