Elaphoglossum peltatum 2

Name: Elaphoglossum peltatum (Sw.) Urb.

Origin/Distribution: From southern Mexico through Central America to tropical South America and the Caribbean.

Location/Habitat: This fern grows predominantly epiphytically in moist tropical forests and occurs depending on the region from the lowlands to mountain forests. In cultivation, we recommend warm to temperate conditions, about 16–27 °C, high humidity and a gentle, steady air movement.

Description and Notes: The plant forms creeping rhizomes and simple, undivided fronds. It is suitable for cultivation mounted or in a loose, humus-rich and airy substrate. Keep evenly lightly moist, but avoid waterlogging; soft water is beneficial.
