Description

Dryadella albicans

Name: Dryadella albicans (Luer) Luer

Origin/Distribution: Ecuador, known particularly from the province of Azuay.

Location/Habitat: The miniature orchid grows epiphytically in moist tropical forests in low light. For cultivation, we recommend temperate to cool-temperate conditions, approximately 12–22 °C, high humidity, and gentle, steady air movement.

Description and Notes: It forms dense clumps of narrow leaves and small, pale flowers with delicate markings. We recommend Sphagnum or a very fine, airy orchid potting mix that remains evenly slightly moist but not waterlogged.
