Name: Dracula agnosia

Etymology: The specific epithet agnosia derives from the Greek word for "ignorance" and refers to the long-standing confusion with another species.

Origin/Distribution: Panama.

Location/Habitat: The species is native to cool, very moist montane and cloud forests at an elevation of approximately 1,900 m. We recommend temperatures of around 10–20 °C, shade to bright filtered light, very high humidity, and constant gentle air circulation.

Description and Notes: Dracula agnosia was long confused with Dracula olmosii, but can be distinguished when in flower by its different floral characteristics. Like other highland Dracula, it requires a fine, airy, and moisture-retentive substrate or an open basket. Keep evenly moist and avoid both summer heat and waterlogging.
