Etymology: biflorum = with two flowers
Origin: Indonesia (Java, Sumatra, Bali, Borneo), the Philippines, as well as the Thai and Malay peninsulas
Habitat: epiphytic on tree trunks in shaded hilly to lowland montane forests at elevations of 500 to 1200 meters
Notes: long, delicate flowers up to 15 cm long; this type originates from Sumatra, while our Philippine type is considerably darker.
