Description

Caladium bicolor 'Heart Of Queen'

Name: Caladium bicolor ‘Heart Of Queen’

Etymology: bicolor means “two-colored”; ‘Heart Of Queen’ is the cultivar name of this decorative foliage form.

Location/Cultivation conditions: We cultivate ‘Heart Of Queen’ in warm conditions at approximately 20–29 °C, with high humidity and bright, indirect light. During active growth, we keep the airy substrate consistently slightly moist.

Description and notes: This Caladium selection is cultivated for its striking heart-shaped leaves and high-contrast color pattern. Caladium forms tubers and can enter a seasonal dormancy phase. When the foliage dies back in autumn, we significantly reduce watering and keep the tuber warm and only slightly dry until new growth begins.
