Aroid mix, soil for anthuriums and philodendrons

Aroid Mix is our own Anthurium and Philodendron soil mix and an ideal blend for many other epiphytic plants.
It consists of medium-grade pine bark in a 15 mm grade, with coconut and coconut fiber as the main additives. Other additives such as perlite, pumice, and vermiculite can be added, but should not exceed 20% by volume. Under normal growing conditions, the substrate lasts for 2 years; it should be repotted by then at the latest. The substrate is pre-fertilized and adjusted to a pH of 5.8.
Aroid Mix can be stored dry in an open bag for several years, but it should be moistened before repotting. After long-term storage, bark and coconut take some time to absorb moisture again.D
The recipe for this substrate was developed over many years by one of Europe’s largest Anthurium and Philodendron nurseries. We have further refined it and are delighted to now be able to offer you this product.
