Description

Anthurium 'Queen of Hearts'

Name: Anthurium ‘Queen of Hearts’

Etymology: The genus name Anthurium comes from Greek and refers to the characteristic shape of the inflorescence. ‘Queen of Hearts’ is a horticultural name.

Origin / Breeding: Horticultural Anthurium hybrid; the exact parentage is not reliably documented.

Description & Care: Leaf hybrid with large, heart-shaped leaves. Young leaves emerge reddish-bronze, mature leaves dark green to almost black with a velvety surface and distinct veining. We cultivate them in bright to partial shade, warm conditions, with high humidity and good air circulation. We keep the substrate consistently slightly moist and avoid waterlogging. We keep them at about 18–26 °C.
