Description

Anthurium nigrolaminum 'Gigi' S

Name: Anthurium nigrolaminum ‘Gigi’

Etymology: The name nigrolaminum refers to the dark leaf blade. ‘Gigi’ denotes a particularly dark-leaved cultivar selection.

Origin/Distribution: Northwestern South America.

Habitat: In warm, humid tropical forests. We grow the plants at around 18–27 °C, with high humidity, good air circulation, and bright, indirect light. We keep a coarse, humus-rich aroid substrate evenly and slightly moist.

Description and Notes: The selection ‘Gigi’ is known for its particularly dark, firm to leathery leaves. The seedlings offered may vary in color intensity, leaf width, and venation, which may continue to develop as they mature.
