Name: Anthurium cf. marmoratum Sodiro
Etymology: The specific epithet marmoratum means “marbled” or “spotted.” “cf.” indicates a plant being compared with the species, but whose identification has not been definitively confirmed.
Origin/Distribution: The confirmed species is known from Colombia and Ecuador.
Location/Habitat: Terrestrial to hemiepiphytic in humid tropical forests, at around 500–1,500 m above sea level. We recommend temperate to warm conditions of approximately 18–27 °C, high humidity, and bright, filtered light.
Description and Notes: The plant develops large, elongated, heart-shaped leaves with a marbled-looking pattern and prominent venation. A climbing support helps accommodate its hemiepiphytic growth. Keep coarse, humus-rich aroid substrate evenly slightly moist, but avoid waterlogging. Due to the cf. identification, its characteristics may differ from those typically described for A. marmoratum.
