Name: Anthurium longissimilobum Croat
Etymology: The genus name Anthurium is derived from the Greek words for "flower" and "tail." The specific epithet refers to the exceptionally long leaf lobes.
First description: In 2008 by Thomas B. Croat.
Origin/Distribution: Peru.
Habitat/Growing environment: Epiphytic to hemiepiphytic in warm, humid forests in the Huánuco region, at an altitude of approximately 600–1,500 m. Suitable conditions include about 18–28 °C, high humidity, bright filtered light, and good air circulation.
Description and notes: The species develops long, narrow, glossy leaf lobes and remains comparatively compact due to its short internodes. A climbing support and a coarse, airy aroid substrate are recommended. Keep consistently slightly moist and avoid waterlogging.
