Description

Anthurium lanjouwii cf.

Name: Anthurium lanjouwii A.M.E.Jonker & Jonker cf.

Etymology: The epithet lanjouwii honors the Dutch botanist Jan Lanjouw.

Original description: The species was described in 1966 by A.M.E. Jonker and Jonker.

Origin / Habitat: French Guiana and Suriname, in moist tropical forests. It grows terrestrially; documented occurrences include the southern slopes of the Emma Mountains on sandstone and dolomite.

Description & Notes: Anthurium with elliptic to ovate-elliptic, strongly veined leaves. In our cultivation, we keep it in bright to partial shade, warm, with high humidity and good air circulation. We keep the substrate consistently slightly moist and avoid waterlogging. We maintain it at approximately 20–28 °C.
