Name: Anthurium Portilla Dreams
Parents: Anthurium magnificum × Anthurium luxurians
Cultivation: Hybrid by Ecuagenera.
Etymology: The genus name Anthurium is derived from the Greek words anthos ("flower") and oura ("tail"). Portilla Dreams is the horticultural name of this hybrid.
Location/Growing Conditions: We grow the hybrid in bright to partial shade at approximately 20–28 °C, with high humidity and good air circulation. We keep a coarse, humus-rich, and very airy aroid substrate evenly slightly moist and avoid waterlogging.
Description and Notes: Anthurium Portilla Dreams combines the striking venation and bold leaf impression of Anthurium magnificum with the highly textured leaf surface of Anthurium luxurians. The dark green, firm leaves can develop a particularly pronounced relief-like structure with age. In seedlings, leaf shape, texture, and venation vary.
