Name: Anthurium Oro Verde
Parents: Anthurium sp. nov. #37 × Anthurium crystallinum
Breeding: Hybrid from Ecuagenera.
Etymology: The genus name Anthurium is derived from the Greek anthos ("flower") and oura ("tail"). "Oro Verde" means "green gold" in Spanish and refers to the bright green foliage.
Location/Cultivation conditions: We cultivate this hybrid in bright to semi-shaded conditions at about 18–27 °C, with high humidity and good air circulation. The substrate should be loose, coarse, and rich in humus, and kept consistently slightly moist. Bright, indirect light encourages compact growth and high-contrast venation.
Description and notes: Anthurium Oro Verde is a compact-growing hybrid with bright green, slightly velvety-looking leaves and light veining. The influence of Anthurium crystallinum is particularly evident in the decorative venation. As a seedling hybrid, it can vary in leaf shape, color, and pattern.
