Name: Anthurium Luxury Dreams
Parents: Anthurium nigrolaminum ‘Gigi’ × Anthurium luxurians
Breeding: Hybrid by Ecuagenera.
Etymology: The genus name Anthurium is derived from the Greek words anthos ("flower") and oura ("tail"). Luxury Dreams is the horticultural name of this hybrid.
Location/Cultivation Conditions: We grow the hybrid warm at around 20–28 °C, with high humidity, good air circulation, and bright to partial shade, indirect light. We keep the coarse, humus-rich, and very airy aroid substrate evenly moist and avoid waterlogging.
Description and Notes: Anthurium Luxury Dreams combines the large-leaved, glossy character of Anthurium nigrolaminum ‘Gigi’ with the distinctly textured leaf surface of Anthurium luxurians. As it matures, it can develop bold, dark green leaves with an interesting mix of gloss and texture. Seedlings vary in leaf proportions and surface texture.
