Name: Anthurium Gigi Dreams
Parents: Anthurium besseae cf. × Anthurium nigrolaminum ‘Gigi’
Cultivation: Hybrid by Ecuagenera.
Etymology: The genus name Anthurium is derived from the Greek anthos ("flower") and oura ("tail"). Gigi Dreams is the horticultural name of this hybrid.
Location/Growing Conditions: We grow the hybrid in intermediate to warm conditions at around 18–27 °C, with high humidity, good air circulation, and bright, indirect light. We keep the coarse, airy aroid substrate evenly moist and avoid waterlogging.
Description and Notes: Anthurium Gigi Dreams develops elongated, pointed leaves that can appear particularly dark to bluish in the juvenile stage. With age, the contrasting venation may become more pronounced. As a seedling hybrid, individual plants may vary in leaf color, shape, and venation.
