Name: Anthurium Dream Heart
Parents: Anthurium forgetii × Anthurium clarinervium
Cultivation: Hybrid by Ecuagenera.
Etymology: The genus name Anthurium derives from the Greek anthos ("flower") and oura ("tail"). Dream Heart refers to the decorative heart-shaped appearance of the foliage in this hybrid.
Location/Cultivation Conditions: We cultivate the hybrid in bright to partially shaded conditions at approximately 18–26°C, with high humidity and good air circulation. The growing medium should be coarse, humus-rich, and highly porous, remaining evenly moist but not wet. Bright, diffused light enhances the contrasting venation.
Description and Notes: Anthurium Dream Heart combines two compactly growing species with velvety leaves and striking light venation. The closed sinus of Anthurium forgetii can be clearly visible in many seedlings, while Anthurium clarinervium contributes to the robust heart-shaped leaf form and distinctive venation. Individual plants may vary in form and markings.
