Name: Anthurium Dark Phoenix
Parents: Anthurium dressleri × Anthurium papillilaminum
Etymology: The hybrid name "Dark Phoenix" refers to the very dark, velvety leaf surface and the intensely colored new growth.
Location/Cultivation conditions: Suitable conditions are warm temperatures of about 20–28 °C, high humidity, gentle air circulation, and bright, indirect light. We recommend a coarse, airy aroid substrate that is kept slightly moist without becoming waterlogged. Avoid cold drafts and prolonged dry spells.
Description and notes: This Ecuagenera hybrid combines the dark, compact character of A. dressleri with the velvety leaves and high-contrast venation of A. papillilaminum. Young leaves can emerge reddish to bronze in color and darken significantly as they mature. As these are seedlings, leaf shape, coloration, and venation vary between plants.
